Sometimes when I open the meat packaging, it smells a little funky. What’s up with that?

We are committed to supplying you with the highest quality ingredients available and transporting these ingredients from our facility to your kitchen as safely as possible. Our meats and seafood are vacuum sealed, greatly reducing the chance of bacteria growth. Due to this process, the concentration of carbon dioxide and nitrogen left in the packaging can cause a sulfur smell when opened. This is normal and can be easily remedied by opening up the package and allowing it to sit for a couple of minutes. That being said, should you receive any product that is of questionable quality, please contact our amazing customer support team.
