Home Chef and Tempo offer several types of promotions and discounts for both new and returning customers. These include sign-up promotions, reactivation offers, recurring discounts, Free Extras for Life, gift cards, and Groupon promotions.
Sign-Up Promotions
All new customers are eligible for a sign-up promotion. These offers typically provide discounts on the first several orders and may include free shipping on select deliveries. Sign-up promotions can be found through Home Chef affiliates, partnered influencers, or promotional campaigns.
Sign-up promotions must be applied during the sign-up process. Step 4 of sign-up provides a full breakdown of the promotion being redeemed, along with the option to “Change Promo Code or Gift Card.” Any valid sign-up promotion, Groupon, or Home Chef or Tempo gift card can be entered at this step to be applied to a new account. The promotion can also be changed on the “Billing Information” step of sign-up.
Reactivation Promotions
Customers who have paused their subscription for an extended period of time may receive reactivation offers via email or within their account. These promotions typically include percentage-based discounts and, in some cases, shipping discounts for a limited number of deliveries after reactivation.
To redeem a reactivation offer, click the link included in the promotional email and follow the prompts to reactivate your subscription. If you have received multiple offers, be sure to select the link associated with the promotion you would like to apply.
Recurring Discounts
Home Chef and Tempo partner with ID.me and USAA to offer recurring discounts for eligible customers. These discounts apply to all qualifying orders once verification is complete.
Free Extra for Life
Eligible customers may select one qualifying Free Extra item from each weekly menu at no additional cost. This offer remains active as long as the subscription is not paused and 6+ consecutive weeks are not skipped.
Previously, this offer was known as “Free Dessert for Life.” It has since been updated to “Free Extra for Life” to provide a wider variety of eligible items each week.
Gift Cards
Home Chef and Tempo gift cards can be purchased through our website and at select retail locations. Gift card balances do not expire.
Gift cards may be applied during sign-up or at any time after an account has been created by navigating to Account and selecting “Redeem a Gift Card.”
Groupons
Home Chef and Tempo partner with Groupon to provide promotional offers for new customers. Once redeemed during sign-up, the value of a purchased Groupon is converted into Home Chef credit. The credit is then automatically applied to eligible orders until the balance has been used in full. Groupon voucher codes will always begin with "GRP."
Eligibility + Restrictions
All sign-up promotions and Groupons are limited to ‘one per household’, and may not be combined with any other sign-up offers
Availability and eligibility may vary by meal plan or delivery week. Bonus items (such as giveaways or toys) are available while supplies last and may be limited to new customers only.
